Today's Favorites - Albaladejo Inheritance Shoes

According to legend, before there was Carmina, there was just the Albaladejo family making shoes under their family name. I am not quite sure how far this stems back, but I would assume that it would be somewhere in the ballpark of 30-40 years ago. So taking a look at the shoes presented, you would be surprised to know that they belonged to the father of my friend who just recently handed them down to his son. Obviously, they did not look like this upon reception, so my friend sent them back to Carmina for a makeover. But needless to say they look practically brand new now and ready for a whole new generation of wear and tear.

You see the beauty of being a son (or child of someone for that matter) is that when you have the same build (and more importantly, shoe size), and your father happened to have good taste and nice things, means that one day you will have those nice things. However, not all of us are so fortunate. While I am a spitting image of my father (literally), I think that the only thing that we could share would be his watches.... My feet are slim, his are wide. I like my clothes fitted, he likes his 'comfortable.' This means, that the few things that I have been able to get, all needed to be altered. I am definitely not complaining, but I certainly wouldn't have minded getting a pair of these bad boys! Anyway, after +30 years this pair just goes to show that many shoes can be revived if treated right....

  1. Not my thing at all, but extraordinary to think that they're that old and look so good.

The shoes are wonderful, but apart from that I also like your new logo/banner!

Paul Van Der Hart - Thanks Paul!! Glad that you like it, I think that it better represents me, the brand and will look better as a sell-able image.

Anon - I don't unfortunately...these were given to me...I did not take them.
