Today's Favorites - Markowski

Can I just say: DAMN!!! I love these shoes by Markowski, all of them! But I especially love the top pair and I will have to have it! I know, I know, I have been bombarding you with French shoemakers for quite awhile now but I just can't get enough of them. I mean, when it comes to color, they are not afraid to use it and that speaks to my heart! Especially when it is my favorite color: blue. So when I saw these, I just had to show them, immediately! Can you blame me?? I know that all of you are not fans of crazy colored shoes but bare with me a little, I can't help myself. I will put up some brown shoes soon, I promise. But anyway, in case anyone was wondering, these shoes sum me up to a "T" and I am happy to see that someone is out there making exactly what I would want to see on the shelves of shoe stores. It's just too bad that it is hard to find these outside of France. But with as cool as they are, I feel that soon they will grow and will have more stockists around the world, cross your fingers!

  1. I saw they had some shoes on their website but nothing close to this. Do the take oversea orders? I live in Canada and I agree that these are simply must have shoes.

    Thanks

  2. Yes! Like Pol said- overseas orders would get them at least one dedicated customer over here in the states.

  3. Hi if I am nit wrong Markowski is not really french the owner and designer is Mr. Marcos Fernandez Cabezas,
make his shoes in Spain and Portugal.
But 225 euro for this quality is really great deal.

POL: check this link here you will find what you looking for:

  4. to see in photographs it is well but to test them it is better. Personally I bought a pair last year and I am very disappointed, leather cracks the first day, quality very average in my opinion, in any case I do not buy any more.

  5. Pol & Loveandalchemy - I am looking into it. I am asking the fellows at Markowski about overseas orders so bare with me a little while and I will soon have an answer.

Vittorio - Thanks for the info Vittorio. You are right about Mr. Fernandez.

Anonymous - I am sorry to hear that. I do believe that there are several price points within the range and wonder if the higher priced one's are of better quality. Looking at the pictures, I feel that the quality of leather is pretty good, but then again, like you said, in person is better. Hopefully soon, I will own a pair and be able to make my own test. Thanks for sharing anyway.

  8. Hi everyone,

I am french, I live in New York and I am a Markoswski customer, so I can tell you that they can definitely do oversea orders. Because the english version of their website does not work, you can just e-mail them in english.

The shoes in the pictures are from their "handgrade" collection called "7e largeur". For the patina, it's an option that cost 50€.

Hope this helps you a little.

  10. Hey Justin. I'm new to your blog and I'm just finding myself enjoying each new entry. I've become a man who can appreciate a fine shoe in recent years. and I'm with you on this one: These Markowskis are VERY nice indeed. I like the first as well. The burnished dark blue looks really good. A nice alternative to black or brown and they still have loads of flavor. Like you said, too bad they haven't made it state side.

  11. The Engineer - Glad that you are enjoying the blog, always happy to discover new readers! Yea, the shoes are amazing, and I feel that in due time, they will make it stateside. They are still relatively young as a company, so it takes a little time. Thanks for commenting!
